Ultrasonic therapiesThe second type of procedure is the cleaning with very slim ultrasonic tips. It is a lot less painful and much gentler. The teeth and the corresponding gingival (gum) is gently anaesthetized/numbed. The following ultrasonic therapy is superior to the traditional therapy with hand instruments and the surgical therapy, even though it sometimes has to be used in combination with these two procedures. Unfortunately this gentler method is not covered by the public health insurances. The private health insurances, however, generally cover the costs of the treatment. |
